The Hebden Bridge Floods
Selvedge magazine is one of my favourite magazines. Here's a post on the Selvedge blog about two chairs that were made for Hebden Bridge and how they faired in the floods on Boxing Day.

The new online shop Jane Revitt Shop is now up and running, making it easy to see lots of cushion and tea towel designs too. Here are three of the cushions from the Yorkshire coast. There's also one of Flamborough Head. Buy them here.

Luberon - Provence
This French map from 1903 shows some of my favourite places. The tiny hamlet of Les Bassacs that I've visited many times, isn't named, but the surrounding villages and towns are clearly marked. Les Bassacs is just south of Croagnes in the centre of the cushion.
Surprising and beautiful patterns emerge when tiny details of the small engraved map are enlarged. This map of Vaucluse was originally published in La Grande Encyclopédie.
There are also tea towels featuring the same map. You can buy them here.

Ilkley and Skipton
This Ilkley cushion design is taken from the 1947 OS map and shows the famous Cow and Calf Rocks on Ilkley Moor to the south of the town. It can be bought from Nora's, a shop in the Victorian Arcade in the centre of the town.
Tea towels of Ilkley and nearby Skipton can also be bought there.

Three Hebden Bridge Cushions
There are 3 cushions showing my hometown of Hebden Bridge. They show the town with surrounding hills and villages, a detailed view of the town, or the whole of the National Trust valley of Hardcastle Crags. These images are all from 1953 Ordnance Survey maps.
The first cushions I made showed a map of Hebden Bridge. They were made as result of the interest in the Map Chairs I made for the local festival, now residing in the Town Hall and Tourist Information centre.
